Between 1908 and 1931 wealthy Frenchman Albert Kahn, his cameraman Alfred Dutertre and several other talented photographers undertook a round-the-world trip to create The Archives Of The Planet, a comprehensive filmed document of historical events and human culture. The project ended after the Wall Street Crash when Kahn lost most of his fortune. Photographed using the latest technology the collection consists of 72,000 colour photographs and 183,000 metres of b&w film. Ten part documentary series, a BBC TV / Musee Albert-Kahn co-production. Narrated by Veronika Hyks. Music by Chic Medley. Edited by James Calderwood. Cinematography by Paul Teverini and Mark Molesworth. Executive producer David Okuefuna.
