A terminally ill television drama writer begins to hear dialogue from his latest play, Karaoke, spoken by members of the public. Convinced his fictional characters are being mirrored in reality, he fears for the life of a karaoke bar hostess who is threatened in a similar way to his script. BBC TV / Channel 4 co-production at the request of screenwriter Dennis Potter. A companion piece to Cold Lazarus, these were his final works completed shortly before his death.
